Background

I currently live in Morrhead, MN and have an office in Fargo, ND. I have connections with the West Central part of Minnesota. I grew up in Montevideo, MN and went to the University of Minnesota in Morris, MN. My wife Jana grew up in Clara City and she also graduated from the University of Minnesota in Morris, MN. Jana worked many years in Motevideo as the Executive Director of Chippewa County Historical Society. Jana's parents farmed and were active in their community and church. John & Arlene Groothuis had Belgium horses on their farm. Many years they shared their joy of Belgium horses with the community through displaying the horses and various wagons & carriages in parades, weddings, family events, and funerals. My parents, Claus & June Peterson owned a Hardware Hank store in Montevideo for over 25 years in Montevideo. My grandfather started a furniture store in Montevideo during the depression and my uncle managed; Folkestad Furniture in Montevideo. My parents still live in Montevideo and my brother Leif Peterson lives in Dawson. Jana has a brother, John Groothuis, live in Willmar and two of her sisters live in Clara City, Joan Groothuis and Julie Runia.

James is married and has young a daughter living in Fargo, ND.  He graduated from Mankota State University.  He has been working as a financial advisor with Waddell & Reed since 2015.
